John & Sue Derrick (E. Sussex) and Alan & Janet Legge (Kent) – 3rd to 17th June 2017

To Hazel & Kenneth

A wonderful two weeks at Boitan Lodges enjoying all the varied beauties of Shetland.  In every corner of the Mainland & Islands we met such friendly peoples who were so helpful in providing us with a rich flavour is Island life.  A man from the Skerries came to tend a grave of lost sailor from the Shetland Bus at the Cemetery at Lunna.  The custodians of all the museums for providing us with so much information especially those at Quendale, Tangwick Haa, The Crothouse is S. Mainland & Scalloway & Lerwick.

The deserted beaches on every island were a beachcombers paradise & the cliffs gave so much to a walk.

Thanks for the very generous welcome you gave to us all – the eggs had the yellowist yolks and had a wonderful flavour!

We wish you all the best with your new venture at the cafe/shop.  Having watched the clusters of tradesmen beavering away for the past two weeks, it must be a great relief to finally open – the car park was almost overflowing!

All the best for the future.
